When I was in New Zealand I always had a Golden Kiwi for breakfast. The kiwifruit got its name from a marketing strategy, naming it after the kiwi, the national bird of New Zealand. Unlike the green fruit, it is less hairy, with yellow flesh and sweeter, less acidic and more tropical flavour than the green kiwifruit.
