Internship VI

Merry Christmas and a happy 2009!
In retrospective this year was just great! I spent a wondeful time together with Valentina, in summer we went to her hometown in Italy and travelled to Paris in autumn, I finished my bachelor studies with a 5.75, found an internship at Unilever, exactly what I wanted.
This were only the most impressing things but there were so many other fantastic and exeptional experiences. Just imagine a warm spring day sitting in the garden, basking in the sun with a good book and the sweet flower odor around you. Or daydreaming at the edge of the Rhine, watching the water pass by and by with your girlfriend in your arms... This moments are invaluable! In this spirit: Have a happy new year!

Internship V

Tomorrow I'll have a day off! As I still need some christmas gifts, I'll go to Zurich as every year. Hopefully the trains won't have any delays because of the snow. Since more than a week, we have plenty of snow and ice on the streets. Actually I should pass by my former employer in Zurich as I got a gratification this month, even though I only worked for half of the year. I don't think that I'll get anything at Unilever, mostly because I'm just an intern. Besides, the salary is not bad either.

Almost forgot, the raclette evening was much fun, as promised! I bought just enough cheese and meat, and we even had to much chocolate mousse. Kai, a guest, still wanted to have a drink at Güterhof afterwards, but I was too tired to have one, so I stayed at home. I guess, they didn't go either. Last saturday Valentina and I went to town after a short workout at the gym. As we both were hungry, I spontanously invited her to the restaurant Bambus, the second thai restaurant apart of the Lemongrass. It was delicious, but in my opinion the service and the interior at Lemongrass are slightly better.

Internship IV

I finally got the mark for my bachelor thesis: 5.75. This is what I expected and I'm very satisfied but one's always looking for a 6, isn't it? So now I'm only waiting for my bachelor diploma which I hope I'll get soon. Besides, as I will begin my master studies at ETH next February, I was already planning my schedule. Hopefully I don't have any lectures on Monday, so I could work, preferably at ETH as junior research assistant. This is what I will apply for in the next weeks.

Beside working at Unilever I went to the Eurofit two or three times a week. I kind of need to do sports in the evening to get my mind free... and a workout with my ipod and some friends to talk to is just perfect. Then time has come to see my girlfriend, which I enjoy so much, as I don't have to study or write reports right now.

Last week I invited my girlfriend to a thai dinner at my place! It was pretty spontaneous, but that's what it makes special, right? Today I'll have the raclette evening I mentioned in the last post! This will be great fun, promised!
